The San Michele Polyclinic is an ISFM accredited Cat-friendly facility, the veterinary division of the Charity International Cat Care Organization, committed to promoting a world in which all cats, with or without an owner, are treated with care, compassion and understanding.
The team of the San Michele Polyclinic fully embraces and shares the values and objectives of the Cat Care Organization and works daily with dedication and professionalism for the care of cats in full compliance with the feline ethogram. Precisely for this reason, our facility is equipped with separate spaces specifically dedicated to the visit and therapy of cats, embracing the cat-friendly philosophy to avoid stress onset or traumatic experiences.
From vertical paths to scratching posts, from water fountains to igloos to find peace, up to the use of relaxing pheromones, catnip and the patience and competence of our veterinarians. We do our best to offer our patients peaceful spaces and totally tailored approaches for them.
Our commitment has been recognized and rewarded by ISFM, which has accredited the San Michele Polyclinic as a cat-friendly facility with the Cat Friendly Clinic Silver standard, recognition obtained following the evaluation of the spaces and methods used for cats.
